It’s not just professional skills that are important; team leaders are just as concerned with character as they are with skills. Here are a few of the criteria which typically feature high on the list: person of prayer, able to keep the team spirit strong, willing to sacrifice and make a significant investment.

Talents work best in teams – thoughts from Alison
All this talk of Brits having talent could start to sound quite individualistic. As Alison reminds us, Frontiers is based around teams because talents work best when we’re working together.
“We all have individual talents but we recognise it’s not God’s plan for us to use them in isolation. We have been designed for community which is why the Frontiers’ team model is so important to us. When we move to the Muslim world, our team will become our support base. We will commit to them, submit to their authority and seek to love each other. There’ll be times when we’ll rejoice together and times when we’ll weep together. For our talents to blossom, grow and be used by God, we will need a team around us who will support us, train us, care for us, encourage us and complement our giftings.”
You’ve got talent!
Whether we’re staying in the UK or going overseas, we all have talents to offer. Behind every Chris, Emma, Judi, Josh and Alison are those in the UK who first inspired them and who will support and encourage them in their journey. Could you inspire and motivate others to consider taking their talents to start or be part of a Frontiers team in the Muslim world?
“Most wouldn’t see themselves as pioneers to the Muslim world - but most could see themselves adding their gifts to a team effort to see communities of Jesus followers established.” Greg Livingstone, founder of Frontiers
