Mission exists because worship doesn't // John Piper
A story from one of our teams in Africa
“Last week the team saw the Lord move in an amazing way. In attendance were about 60 men and 20 women, among them top religious leaders in the area, commanders and the political leaders of the people. At the graduation ceremony for our training, one of the commanders stood up to express how the Lord had touched him. Fighting back tears, he shared that he knows God has sent us to the area to bring this incredible message to their people and thanked the team. He said it was as if somebody had poured oil on his heart and then set it on fire! A religious leader and traditional singer wanted to share a spontaneous song that was in his heart. Without even knowing what a church service should look like these people broke into a spontaneous celebration of Jesus. That day two people were healed.” Report from a Frontiers worker in Africa. |
